SmartGWT is a framework that allows you to not only utilize its comprehensive widget library for your application UI, but also tie these widgets in with your server-side for data management. SmartGWT is based on the powerful and mature SmartClient library. SmartGWT is licensed under standard LGPL terms. This is the best and most complete GWT-based framework currently out there. It is extremely feature rich (with all the UI widgets from SmartClient), easy learning curve, nice support and integration for various server-side communication (e.g. REST, RPC, etc.). The user-community and forums are also very helpful.
